On January 2, the 2013 Vasaloppet Ski Festival, sponsored by the well-known Austrian outdoor brand NORTHLAND, grandly opened at Jingyuetan in Changchun. This event will attract over ten thousand participants from 31 countries and regions, marking the largest scale in the 10 years since the Vasaloppet brand landed in Changchun. The Vasaloppet Ski Festival originated in Northern Europe in 1922 and is named after Swedish King Gustav Vasa. Since its arrival in Changchun in 2003, it has been highly favored by Chinese skiing enthusiasts. Changchun has integrated professional events from the International Ski Federation, mass fitness activities, and ice-snow tourism, making this event increasingly attractive year by year.

Meanwhile, the annual NORTHLAND “skiing party” has also kicked off. Fifty NORTHLAND VIP members from Shenyang and Changchun attended the party. Known for its creative flair, NORTHLAND delivered non-stop highlights at the welcoming scene. The subway Spider-Man and Superman, previously familiar to many from the NORTHLAND Outdoor Express, also made appearances as greeters at the welcome site, rolling out the red carpet to lead members onto elaborately decorated RVs en route to the skiing party venue.

The RVs set off from the NORTHLAND store at Nanshan Sports Center and headed to the ski resort. As a leader in the outdoor brand industry, NORTHLAND has always advocated getting the public outdoors to enjoy “comfort and freedom.” The theme of this skiing party was “ARE YOU READY? The NORTHLAND Skiing Party Invites You to Join the Fun.” Previously, the creative advertisements for the skiing party had already sparked a nationwide trend of imitating the “skiing style.”

At 11:30 AM, the RVs arrived at the Jingyuetan Ski Resort in Changchun. The VIP members eagerly changed into their gear and started skiing. A variety of fun moments kept everyone entertained, with hilarious “styles” drawing laughter — this is the true skiing style. Everyone experienced the harmony between humans and nature and enjoyed the comfort brought by the great outdoors!

At 5:00 PM, everyone returned to the indoor party venue. NORTHLAND had prepared a sumptuous Austrian-style buffet dinner for the members, featuring a variety of Austrian cuisine and drinks. Everyone raised their glasses together, sending the party atmosphere to another high.
