| The “Technical Grade Standards for Chinese Mountaineering Athletes” issued by the Chinese Mountaineering Association is posted here for reference. I. International Sports Master: Those who meet any of the following conditions may apply for the title of International Sports Master. Men: (1) Reach the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 8,500 meters in an international mountaineering event with participants from two or more countries; (2) Rank in the top eight in the World Climbing Championships or the World Cup Finals. Women: (1) Reach the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 8,000 meters in an international mountaineering event with participants from two or more countries; (2) Rank in the top eight in the World Climbing Championships or the World Cup Finals. II. Sports Master: Those who meet any of the following conditions may apply for the title of Sports Master. Men: (1) Reach the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 8,000 meters; (2) Reach the summits of two independent peaks with altitudes of over 7,500 meters; (3) Reach the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,500 meters and reach an altitude of over 8,000 meters in another mountaineering activity; (4) Reach an altitude of over 8,000 meters in two different mountainous regions or different activities; (5) Rank in the top twenty in the World Climbing Championships or the World Cup Finals; (6) Rank in the top six in the Asian Climbing Championships; (7) Rank in the top three twice in the National Climbing Championships. Women: (1) Reach the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,500 meters; (2) Reach the summits of two independent peaks with altitudes of over 7,000 meters; (3) Reach the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,000 meters and reach an altitude of over 7,500 meters in another mountaineering activity; (4) Reach an altitude of over 7,500 meters in two different mountainous regions or different activities; (5) Rank in the top twenty in the World Climbing Championships or the World Cup Finals; (6) Rank in the top six in the Asian Climbing Championships; (7) Rank in the top three twice in the National Climbing Championships. III. First-Class Athlete: Those who meet any of the following conditions may apply for the title of First-Class Athlete. Men: (1) Those who have climbed to the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,500 meters; (2) Those who have climbed to the summits of two independent peaks with an altitude of over 7,000 meters; (3) Those who have climbed to the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,000 meters and reached an altitude of over 7,500 meters in another mountaineering activity; (4) Those who have reached an altitude of over 7,500 meters in two different mountainous regions or activities; (5) Those who have ranked in the top ten in the Asian Climbing Championship; (6) Those who have ranked in the top six in the Asian Youth Climbing Championship; (7) Those who have ranked in the top three or twice ranked between fourth and sixth in the National Climbing Championship; (8) Those who have ranked in the top three twice in the National Youth Climbing Championship. Women: (1) Those who have climbed to the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,000 meters; (2) Those who have climbed to the summits of two independent peaks with an altitude of over 6,500 meters; (3) Those who have climbed to the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,500 meters and reached an altitude of over 7,000 meters in another mountaineering activity; (4) Those who have reached an altitude of over 7,000 meters in two different mountainous regions or activities; (5) Those who have ranked in the top three or twice ranked between fourth and sixth in the National Climbing Championship; (6) Those who have ranked in the top six in the Asian Youth Climbing Championship; (7) Those who have ranked in the top ten in the Asian Climbing Championship; (8) Those who have ranked in the top three twice in the National Youth Climbing Championship. IV. Second-Class Athletes: Those who meet any of the following conditions may apply for the title of Second-Class Athlete. Men: (1) Those who have climbed to the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 7,000 meters; (2) Those who have climbed to the summits of two independent peaks with an altitude of over 6,500 meters; (3) Those who have climbed to the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,500 meters and reached an altitude of over 7,000 meters in another mountaineering activity; (4) Those who have reached an altitude of over 7,000 meters in two different mountainous regions or activities; (5) Those who have ranked in the top ten in the Asian Youth Climbing Championship; (6) Those who have ranked between fourth and sixth in the National Climbing Championship; (7) Those who have ranked in the top three in the National Youth Climbing Championship. Women: (1) Reaching the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,500 meters; (2) Reaching the summits of two independent peaks with altitudes of over 6,000 meters each; (3) Reaching the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,000 meters and attaining an altitude of over 6,500 meters during another mountaineering activity; (4) Attaining an altitude of over 6,500 meters on two separate occasions in different mountainous regions or during different activities; (5) Ranking among the top ten in the Asian Youth Rock Climbing Championships; (6) Ranking between fourth and sixth in the National Rock Climbing Championships; (7) Ranking among the top three in the National Youth Rock Climbing Championships. V. Third-Class Athletes: Those who meet any one of the following criteria may apply for the title of Third-Class Athlete. Men: (1) Reaching the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,500 meters; (2) Reaching the summits of two independent peaks with altitudes of over 6,000 meters each; (3) Reaching the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,000 meters and attaining an altitude of over 6,500 meters during another mountaineering activity; (4) Attaining an altitude of over 6,500 meters on two separate occasions in different mountainous regions or during different activities; (5) Ranking between seventh and ninth in the National Rock Climbing Championships; (6) Ranking between fourth and sixth in the National Youth Rock Climbing Championships. Women: (1) Reaching the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 6,000 meters; (2) Reaching the summits of two independent peaks with altitudes of over 5,500 meters each; (3) Reaching the summit of an independent peak with an altitude of over 5,500 meters and attaining an altitude of over 6,000 meters during another mountaineering activity; (4) Attaining an altitude of over 6,000 meters on two separate occasions in different mountainous regions or during different activities; (5) Ranking between seventh and ninth in the National Rock Climbing Championships; (6) Ranking between fourth and sixth in the National Youth Rock Climbing Championships.
