Classical Clock Tower and Fairytale Town: Korean Couples’ Favorite Spot for Selfies at Little Switzerland Village

Thanks to *Goblin* (*Guardian: The Lonely and Great God*), many people know that South Korea has a “Little France Village.” But in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, there’s also a Switzerland-themed “Little Switzerland Village” filled with pastoral alpine-style architecture and a romantic, adorable atmosphere — making it a filming location for *We Got Married*.

For travelers who love taking photos, the first thought upon arriving at Little Switzerland Village is, “This place is perfect for selfies!” In this elongated village, the entrance features a roughly seven-story European clock tower with a red spire and arched glass windows. Its walls are painted with huge royal crests, and the entire park replicates Swiss architectural characteristics. It’s a fairytale-like wonderland that really makes you feel like you’re in Switzerland.

Along the slightly sloped pathway, you’ll find various themed pavilions such as Nutcracker Dolls, Love, Swiss Stories, and Heidi Cheese. These theme houses are designed around their unique themes, from signs and exterior walls to interior decor. The soft, cozy European-style ambiance alone tempts many visitors to stop and take selfies. Through mannequins, models, and informational signs inside the pavilions, guests can learn more about Swiss chocolate, cheese, and other cultural elements.

Since it was chosen as a filming location for *We Got Married*, romance is another highlight of Little Switzerland Village. In the Love Theme Pavilion, couples can write sweet little love notes together or leave kisses on the walls. There are also love locks, heart-shaped windmills, and more — no wonder many Korean couples bring tripods and selfie gear here to snap photos and show off their affection.

Beyond the romantic touches, strolling through Little Switzerland Village gives the impression that every little detail is screaming, “Take a picture of me!” In addition to Swiss-style buildings, colorful walls, and window sills, there are giant nutcracker kings, sheep grazing on the lawns, retro hand-painted signs, and blooming flower beds and planters everywhere — all providing rich and heartwarming photo and selfie opportunities. Even the floors feature large 3D murals, offering surprises at every turn.
