Old-Town Juice Shop in Tainan – Juicy Mango & Sago Treat That Fills You Up

I happened to pass by Feng Bing Fruit Shop during their trial run. The unique exterior compared to regular fruit stores caught my curiosity, so I went in for a drink. I just forgot to write about it back then, but recently I brought my wife and kids here again and took some updated photos of the current menu. I hurried home to write this article before it got buried in my endless archives again.

Just taking photos at the entrance alone made me incredibly happy that day.

The interior decor was even more delightful when I stepped inside.

IfNiujiao Beef Noodlesis the most stylish beef noodle shop I've seen so far, then Feng Bing Fruit Shop is probably the trendiest juice shop. Unlike many other old buildings in Tainan that lean heavily on vintage decor, they didn’t emphasize the old-house vibe. Instead, they let the overall design blend naturally with the building — I really like this unforced style. Let’s take a look at their dine-in menu too.

Feng Bing Fruit Shop doesn’t just put care into its interior — the product naming also shows cleverness and humor, which is something many shops overlook. People usually put a lot of thought into naming the shop itself, but the product names, which are just as important, often end up being generic and common. Being straightforward isn’t bad, but creative names are easier to remember and even share. It's like how people might forget your real name but remember your nickname. After visiting shops for so many years, I think this is a subtle yet important detail to consider before opening a store — it's like a bonus question where getting it wrong doesn't deduct points, but getting it right earns you extra credit. The juices at Feng Bing Fruit Shop are made without added water and, of course, no extra sugar either, so what you get is the pure, natural flavor of the fruit. I love this kind of juice — not watery, just naturally sweet.

Sweet Potato Latte

Rich and creamy, it’s also very filling. It’s called a latte not because it contains caffeine, but simply because it has milk as an ingredient. Its sweet and fragrant taste is especially loved by kids.

A big mix of fresh fruits and sago — I was really full after finishing this cup that day.

Mango Sorbet

I think the drinks at Feng Bing Fruit Shop are made with quality ingredients and strike a great balance — not overly sweet, not watery. And even though it’s a juice shop, their offerings are actually quite filling. That was an unexpected pleasant surprise.
