Numerous overseas tourism organizations are optimistic about the growth potential of outbound travel from second-tier cities
Following the success of the first China (Nanjing) International Vacation Tourism Exhibition, which saw tourism bureaus and attractions from 25 countries and regions making vibrant appearances in Nanjing, the 2013 China (Nanjing) International Vacation Tourism & RV Show (CMT China) will once again bring together global tourism resources: tourism bureaus from countries and regions such as Germany, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Spain, and Taichung, as well as destination management companies from Maldives, Greece, the United States, Israel, India, and more will showcase their most attractive tourist attractions to tap into the rapidly growing outbound tourism market in Jiangsu.

At the start of the New Year, a rich array of East China tourism resources come together
As the host, the Jiangsu Provincial Tourism Bureau will present a multi-faceted and comprehensive portrayal of beautiful Jiangsu through its 19 subordinate city and county-level tourism enterprises. Following the official launch of the Nanjing-Hangzhou Intercity Railway at the end of 2012, which accelerated interaction between Jiangsu and Zhejiang, the 2013 CMT China show will take you on a journey to experience the beauty of the south of the Yangtze River and the idyllic charm described as “Up above there is heaven; down below there are Suzhou and Hangzhou.”

New brands added to hotel, hot spring, and resort offerings
The 2013 Nanjing Vacation Tourism & RV Show will build on the first edition’s gathering of hot spring resources from Nanjing’s Tangshan and Pukou districts and Huangshan in Anhui, further including hot spring resort options around Hongze Lake and Qinzhou Lake in northern Jiangsu. International chain brand Hilton also plans to showcase its hotels’ distinct styles and features tailored for both business and vacation purposes at the exhibition.

Tourism Wealth Zone leads the way to a new "vacation and wellness" lifestyle
The “Tourism Wealth Zone,” jointly organized by the exhibition organizers and TourismWealth.com, will highlight premium domestic and international tourism real estate projects that were awarded the 2012 International Best Tourism Real Estate Project Prize. It will also involve major local tourism companies in Nanjing to engage in property sales and post-sales operation services for tourism real estate projects, developing “vacation home purchase tours” and expanding new marketing channels.
Professionalism and transactional focus become key themes of the show
In addition to providing more detailed services for exhibitors, CMT China will launch a buyer program, focusing on coverage across Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces. Buyer delegations including the “Travel China” European and American wholesale group, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business incentive travel buyers, and the “World Travel Network” buyer group will attend the show for negotiations and procurement. A variety of professional forums and exchange events are also being actively prepared during the exhibition period.
Meanwhile, CMT China will break away from the traditional exhibition model focused solely on image display, and will instead host a wealth of promotional activities on-site. The exhibition organizers will also leverage all channels and resources to deliver comprehensive reporting and promotion, striving to establish the event as a major sales and marketing platform for the East China tourism industry at the start of each year.
