The BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour China has been held for three editions, bringing dozens of outstanding mountain documentaries to outdoor and film enthusiasts across the country. The stories and characters in these films have left a deep impression. For this highlight screening, the BANFF Mountain Film Festival has invited Christoph Rehage, the protagonist featured in the films, to meet and interact with the audience.
The 2011 entry "The Longest Way" captivated audiences with the story of a young German man, Christoph Rehage, who hiked across China. In just five minutes, using 1,400 selfies and changing hairstyles and beards, he recounted his 4,646-kilometer trek from Beijing to Urumqi.
This BANFF Mountain Film Festival highlight screening is a review and summary of the past three years. The most classic BANFF films will be selected through online voting by the audience, allowing everyone to relive those soul-stirring outdoor stories on the big screen.
