No more travel pitfalls—experts have selected the list of 36 “Golden Tourism Awards”!

The 2016 Golden Tourism Awards were officially held today, and the Republic of China Travel Quality Assurance Association (TQAA) also announced 36 Golden Tourism Award itineraries today, including 3 domestic tours, 4 inbound tours, and 29 outbound tour programs.

The annual Golden Tourism Awards are selected by a panel of judges representing the TQAA, the Tourism Bureau, public figures, tourism agencies from various countries, and industry professionals. The selection considers multiple details such as itinerary features, transportation arrangements, hotel accommodations, dining options, attraction selections, and tour price reasonableness.

This year, a total of 84 tour programs participated in the selection. The 36 winning Golden Award itineraries each have their own unique features—some emphasize great food and accommodation, while others highlight the chance to savor local specialty cuisines. Deputy Director of the Tourism Bureau, Chang Hsi-tsung, stated in his speech that travel products should not compete solely on “price,” but more importantly through “quality,” which will lead to a better future for Taiwan’s tourism industry.
