Mr. Li Nianxi Delivers a Speech
On March 4, the launch ceremony of the 2013 Longines Beijing International Equestrian Masters was held at Beijing Pangu Seven Star Hotel. This event has been included in the FEI schedule and is currently the highest-level professional equestrian competition in China. The competition will kick off with great excitement at the "Bird's Nest" from April 18 to 20. Longines continues to be the title sponsor and official timekeeper. Li Nianxi, Secretary-General of the Chinese Equestrian Association, Michael Mronz, President of Dormagen Horse Show, and Li Jing, Li Li, Vice President of Longines China, along with Ludger Beerbaum, known as the "Father of German Equestrianism," and Jane Richard, Longines Elegant Ambassador and equestrian, attended the event.
At the event, Michael Mronz, President of Dormagen Horse Show, introduced the preparation status of the 2013 Longines Beijing Equestrian Masters: this international equestrian masters competition attracts top riders from around the world to compete alongside riders from the Chinese national equestrian team. In addition, sand will be used as the arena surface at the Bird’s Nest in 2013; nearly 100 of China’s best show jumping horses will be involved; tickets will be sold uniformly through Damai.com, with affordable pricing to attract more spectators; the equestrian carnival area on the first-floor stands will allow more people to experience real equestrian sports and engage with their endless charm. This competition will once again showcase the unique appeal of night-time open-air show jumping.

The press conference venue today was uniquely arranged, with an equestrian display and experience area adding many highlights. Whether it was the exquisite equestrian equipment or horse models, all caught the eye of the attendees. On-site equestrian professionals introduced displayed items, competition rules, and other equestrian knowledge, allowing every guest to understand equestrian culture while experiencing the charm brought by the sport.
The "2013 Longines Beijing International Equestrian Masters" is jointly organized by the Chinese Equestrian Association and the National Stadium, in collaboration with Dormagen Horse Show and the world-renowned Aachen CHIO – one of the most prestigious equestrian clubs – as well as Ludger Beerbaum, known as the "Father of German Equestrianism," to create a world-class equestrian event at the Bird’s Nest. It also aims to promote the profound culture inherent in equestrian sports and showcase the unique charm and elegance of Beijing, a city that blends history with modernity.
It is revealed that on the opening day, performances featuring Chinese elements related to equestrianism, equestrian gymnastics, and dressage will be held, accompanied by stunning LED night scenes, bringing a breathtaking visual feast. During the event, a series of activities including the China Horse Owners' Cup, U15 and VIP Equestrian Training Camps will also take place. The organizers will also hold a fashion photography competition, where photography enthusiasts can use their lenses to capture exciting moments on horseback, showcasing different forms of elegance and classic imagery.
