On March 1, 2013, Zhong Chengsu, the head of Ward's China market, represented the company at the China Outdoor Industry Sustainable Development Forum held during the ISPO Beijing exhibition.
During the forum’s discussion session, Zhong Chengsu reiterated Ward’s efforts and commitment to environmental protection, stating, “From every link in the product production chain to corporate management, from brand philosophy to the outdoor events we sponsor, Ward has always adhered to the principle of maximizing environmental protection to the best of our ability.”
It is worth mentioning that in 1982, the U.S. Forest Service created a course called “Leave No Trace,” and in 2007, Taiwan’s Forestry Bureau introduced the Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics Center’s curriculum to Taiwan. Committed to advancing the development of outdoor environmental protection, Ward reached out to the relevant departments of Taiwan’s LNT course to establish a partnership, and it was confirmed that the LNT course training session would be held for the first time on March 9, 2013, at Zhuhai University Town. Ward hopes that the LNT course will take root and grow in China like an environmental seed, helping preserve the only Earth we have.
