1. Press Conference

Event Overview: The county Party committee and county government will release information related to the 2013 Chongqing · Zhongxian 4th China Citrus Culture Tourism Festival.
2. “Savoring Zhongzhou · Happy Orange Homeland” Micro Film Competition
Time: Promotion and submission start in mid-December 2012; exhibition and judging in early April 2013.
Event Overview: Centered around the theme “Savoring Zhongzhou · Happy Orange Homeland,” cash prizes are offered to attract participants to visit Zhongxian. Through their lenses, they will showcase Zhongxian’s natural landscapes, historical depth, industrial economy, and other resource highlights, as well as the city’s spirit of loyalty, courage, honesty, pragmatism, and innovation under the fine traditions of Zhong culture, reflecting the growing sense of happiness and the social vibe of “Savoring Zhongzhou · Happy Orange Homeland.”
3. “Savoring Zhongzhou · Happy Orange Homeland” Photography Exhibition
Time: Promotion and submission start in early February 2013; exhibition in early April to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Zhongzhou being renamed Zhongxian County.
Location: Zhongzhou Square
Event Overview: Through the exhibition, create a “high-standard, cross-sector, more innovative” visual feast that comprehensively showcases Zhongxian’s historical heritage and profound cultural foundation.

6. Unveiling Ceremony of the Statue of Bai Juyi
Time: Wednesday, April 24, 2013 (morning)
Location: Xiangshan Park
Event Overview: The unveiling ceremony of the statue of Bai Juyi, sculpted by artist Wu Weishan, will be held.
7. Investment Promotion Signing Ceremony
Time: Wednesday, April 24, 2013 (afternoon)
Location: Three Gorges Wind Hotel
Event Overview: A batch of investment attraction projects will be signed collectively to create a clustering effect.
8. Opening Ceremony & Large-Scale Variety Show
Time: Wednesday, April 24, 2013, 20:00–22:30
Location: Stadium of the County Vocational Education Center
Event Overview: Themed “Savoring Zhongzhou · Happy Orange Homeland,” the show includes love and life songs themed on “happiness”; performances of songs, dances, and poetry from Three Kingdoms-era TV dramas; as well as local characteristic cultural performances from Chongqing and Zhongxian.
9. China Beverage Industry Annual Conference
Time: Thursday, April 25, 2013 (morning)
Location: Cruise ship (to be determined)
Event Overview: Invite industry experts and scholars to deliver keynote speeches on emerging technologies in the beverage industry and supportive policies for the sector under China’s 12th Five-Year Plan, discussing the current status and future of China’s beverage industry to promote innovation and development.

10. 2013 Chongqing · Zhongxian Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament
Date: April 25–26, 2013 (Friday–Saturday)
Venue: Riverside Water Area
Event Overview: In collaboration with the Municipal Sports Bureau and the Municipal Dragon Boat Association, teams from both domestic and international locations will be invited and organized to participate.
11. “Happy Orange Township” Carnival
Date: May 1, 2013 (Wednesday)
Venue: Zhongzhou Square
Event Overview: Creating a cultural economy by achieving a perfect integration of history, humanity, and art, the event features two major activities: “Miniature Landscape Show of the Three Kingdoms” and “Large-Scale Interactive Live Experience of the Three Kingdoms Competition.” It combines dining, travel, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment to provide visitors with an interactive and participatory entertainment platform.
12. Badou Terrace Rural Tourism Promotion Conference
Date: May 1, 2013 (Wednesday)
Venue: Zhongzhou Square
Event Overview: Organize travel agencies and relevant organizations both within and outside the county to hold a promotion conference for Badou Terrace rural tourism.
13. Self-Drive Orange Township Tour
Date: May 2, 2013 (Thursday)
Venue: Ajinhe Golden Willow Park, Three Gorges Orange Sea, Shibaozhai
Event Overview: Targeting self-drive tourists, this event is jointly organized by the Zhongxian Off-Road E-Club, major car clubs in Chongqing, and mainstream Chongqing media to launch a self-drive camping activity. It promotes a fashionable, leisurely, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly lifestyle among urban residents, while spreading the news that Zhongxian’s self-drive experience service project has officially commenced.
