The world's first 3D-printed snowboard, Signal, is launched

　　Following the glass snowboard, a group of crazy scientists have now introduced a snowboard crafted using 3D printing technology. It is reported that Signal and GROWit 3D used a Connex 500 printer during the manufacturing process. The biggest challenge they faced was the size limitations of the printed objects. As a result, they divided the snowboard into small sections, printed them individually, and then assembled them together.

　　During the printing process, the team used resin to vacuum-seal the board. However, at this stage, the product was not yet a fully functional snowboard — it was still too fragile. So, Signal added metal strips to reinforce it.

　　Although the snowboard can now be used for skiing, unfortunately, its speed is quite slow. But they say that with some minor improvements, it could reach the desired speed.

　　However, don’t expect to find 3D-printed snowboards in ski shops anytime soon — they still need some time
