Day 1 Chengdu–Xichang (Approximately 440 km, about 6 hours)
Meet promptly at 6:30 AM at the Chengya Expressway entrance. We’ll drive to Xichang, a city that enjoys summer-like weather all year round. After checking in at the pre-booked hotel and having lunch, we’ll head to the stunning Qionghai Lake for some fun in the sun. Feel free to explore, take photos, enjoy tea, or soak up the sun... Those who prefer a quieter day can return to the hotel in the evening to stargaze, play cards, chat with teammates, and relax.
Day 2 Xichang–Lugu Lake (Approximately 282 km, about 10 hours)
Meet promptly at 7:00 AM in the hotel lobby and set off for Lugu Lake, home to the Mosuo people known for their matrilineal culture. We’ll have lunch in Yan Yuan County around noon. In the afternoon, upon arrival at Lugu Lake, check in at our guesthouse. After dinner, you can enjoy the lake’s night scenery, savor local Lugu Lake specialty barbecue, or stay in the guesthouse to immerse yourself in the mysterious atmosphere of Mosuo culture. For those preferring a quieter evening, you can chat with teammates, play cards, gaze at the stars, or simply unwind.
Day 3 Lugu Lake
All-day free time to explore attractions such as the Zigong Bridge, Lovers’ Beach, Aokua Wharf, Zhaojiawan, Lion Mountain, Lige Island, Yongning Hot Springs, Zhamei Temple, Yang Erche Namu’s Former Residence, Lugu Lake Grassland Sea, and the Kingdom of Women. In the evening, you can join an organized, traditional Mosuo-style bonfire party.
Day 4 Lugu Lake – Chengdu (Approximately 645 km, about 10 hours)
After breakfast, regroup and start the drive back to Xichang. We’ll have lunch in Yan Yuan on the way. Filled with joy and satisfaction, we’ll continue our journey back to Chengdu via the Xichang-Yaxi Expressway and then the Chengwenqiong Expressway. Reflect on all the sights, sounds, and experiences along the way, and just as you gather your thoughts, you’ll suddenly find your hometown, Chengdu, right before your eyes.
