From May 3rd to 5th, the 2013 Shanghai MIDI Festival will be grandly held at Century Park in Pudong. Nineteen electronic music maestros from Europe and China will join forces to energize the Yuan Stage, where these top DJs will deliver an exceptional live experience.
Over the three days of performances at the Yuan Stage, a diverse lineup of DJs will take the decks to unleash the power of electronic music. Representing the Washing Machine label, Adrien Gee has flown in specially from Paris. Also performing are Sun Dawei (Sulumi), the internationally renowned avant-garde musician from Beijing and 8-bit pioneer, Weng Weng, founder of the independent label Needle Therapy, rising music production talent Yuan Dong, renowned DJs ThomaCher and Charp from Shanghai’s Holyshit label, “Electronic Music China” music director Dave K, and the beloved DJ Mia… They will bring the frenetic beats of House, Deep House, Tech House, and Minimal to life on the Yuan Stage.
Ben Huang, who has performed and won awards internationally multiple times, along with Florian Bo, Jack Esquire, and Steven Lorenz, will showcase the allure of Techno to the live audience. DJ Laurent and his wife will combine multimedia art to create a video art masterpiece on-site. The most cutting-edge and powerful bass music will take center stage during the nightly finale. DJs Conrack, Verse@ille, Tourettez, and Korean DJ Lao Bang will perform genres including Hip-hop, Trap, Electro, and Dubstep, while the most formidable Drum n Bass acts will be delivered by Siesta and Roo.
On the 20th anniversary of the MIDI School, the 2013 Shanghai MIDI Yuan Stage will present a comprehensive showcase of international electronic music genres to all attending fans. We look forward to partying and dancing together with MIDI graduates and fans from across the country on the vast lawns of Century Park in Pudong. A massive rave party is about to begin. The performances at the 2013 Shanghai MIDI Festival on May 3rd will run from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM, while the shows on May 4th and 5th will start at 1:00 PM and end at 9:30 PM. Festival tickets are priced at 100 RMB per day for presale, 120 RMB per day at the door, and a 3-day pass is available for 280 RMB (limited to 3000 sets).
