Mr. Biu, who has years of sales experience, shared tips on selecting suitable outdoor equipment based on his own experience. He suggested that women choose backpacks around 35 liters, while frequent hikers generally find 45–50 liters sufficient. When choosing hiking boots, it’s best to go half a size larger than your usual shoes—about one finger’s width of extra space—to avoid injuring your toes when descending. Absolutely avoid buying boots that fit too snugly, or the consequences can be severe. Trekking poles come in regular aluminum, aerospace 7075 aluminum, and carbon fiber, with about 80% carbon being the most common. These are lighter, typically weighing around 210 grams, more flexible, and better crafted. The handles of trekking poles come in T-shaped and straight types, allowing individuals to choose based on their habits. As for hydration bladders, they usually hold 3–5 liters of water and can be stored in the backpack, with a tube that allows you to drink directly while hiking without needing to hold a bottle.
