As the Asian outdoor market matures, creative Chinese outdoor brands also need a platform to showcase themselves. It is understood that this year’s award structure has been further refined. In order to encourage original design among outdoor brands and promote the vigorous development of the Chinese outdoor market, in addition to the previous categories — “Gold Award, Silver Award, Eco Award, and Women’s Product Award” — the new “China Original Design Award” has been added.
The “China Original Design Award” aims to draw attention to and emphasize the importance of original design in the outdoor industry, promote the development of the outdoor sector, encourage the growth of Chinese outdoor brand designers, elevate China’s outdoor design standards, and deliver more and better innovative outdoor products to both domestic and international markets. Past Gold Award winners include LIVSO’s inflatable canoe “Fish-Dragon Transformation” and Fire-Maple’s FMS-300T “Wasp” micro gas stove. Judging from the winning entries, there has been a noticeable improvement in design quality, with increasing sophistication in the use of new materials and manufacturing techniques. More newcomers are also incorporating innovative design elements, which is another reason for introducing the “China Original Design Award” this year.

Zero Entry Barriers Numerous Benefits for Winners
Whether you are a brand owner, ODM, designer, or importer, as long as your entry meets criteria such as “innovation, high quality, and reflecting emerging industry trends,” and has been on the market for less than two years (as of July 24, 2013) or has been on the market for over two years but has seen improvements in the last two years, you are eligible to enter the 2013 (4th) Asia Outdoor Industry Awards. Compete for the Gold Award, Silver Award, Eco Award, Women’s Product Award, and China Original Design Award. There is no limit to the number of entries per participant or company.
A dedicated area will be set up at the 2013 (4th) Asia Outdoor Show to showcase all award-winning products free of charge. Winning entries will be promoted through various channels including “exhibition press releases, Asia Outdoor Show promotional videos, partner magazines and online media, and the Asia Outdoor Show official website.” All winners will be invited to attend the award ceremony on the first afternoon of the show and receive the “2013 Asia Outdoor Industry Awards” certificate. Additionally, winners will be granted the right to use the 2013 Asia Outdoor Industry Awards logo in their advertising and marketing activities.

Launched with great fanfare at the 2010 Asia Outdoor Show, the Asia Outdoor Industry Awards have gradually become a highlight over the past three years. Winning an Asia Outdoor Industry Award serves as a significant boost for both brands and individuals on their path to success. The success of the awards is closely tied to the rigorousness of its judging panel. The 2013 (4th) Asia Outdoor Industry Awards judging panel will consist of two renowned design experts from the Jiangsu Industrial Design Association and six outdoor industry professionals, ensuring fair and impartial evaluations.
