Taipei’s Super Instagrammable “Container Juice Boutique” – Fresh Pink Smoothies That Melt Hearts

Container-style shops are all the rage in Taipei. The newly opened juice boutique“DeJuice”features an adorable black container-style exterior. It serves daily freshly pressed healthy juices and smoothies without added sugar or water. Its pastel, dreamy hues and delicious taste have won over many with their sweet charm.

Lin, the owner of DeJuice, shared that her inspiration for the container-style shop came from a previous trip to South Korea where she saw container-style malls and found them unique. That inspired her to go with the container theme for her own business. Currently, the store offers two main series: juices and smoothies. Aware that many commercial juices use a lot of sugar for flavoring, she wanted to ensure her offerings wouldn’t burden customers’ health. Therefore, all juices and smoothies at DeJuice are made without added sugar or water. Instead, they use the natural sweetness of various fruits. The juices are extracted and blended to preserve not only the authentic taste but also the nutritional value of the fruits.

Lin also noted that considering some female customers may have menstrual discomfort or sensitivity to cold drinks, the juices are served without sugar, water, or ice cubes. However, recognizing that many still prefer chilled beverages, the shop offers a smoothie series—this being the key difference between the juice and smoothie selections in-store.

Among the juices, the currently most popular flavors are “Feed the Young Master Some Pancakes” and “Martian Girl’s Heart.” Feed the Young Master Some Pancakesprimarily includes kiwi, pineapple, and apple. It has a tangy taste, with the first sip delivering strong pineapple aroma, followed by the sweet-and-sour flavors of apple and kiwi that gradually emerge, along with a distinct fruity texture.

Martian Girl’s Heartis made with dragon fruit, guava, and apple. It sports a vivid purple color and offers a layered taste highlighted by guava and apple, with both juices being on the less sweet side.

For juice smoothies, there are currently seven options. Lin noted that the most popular ones are “Gorgeous You” and “Long Time No See.”Gorgeous You SmoothieWith a dreamy pastel pink color, its looks alone can captivate anyone. It mainly combines blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, apple, and pineapple. The initial taste is dominated by the tangy sweetness of apple, followed by a gradual emergence of the blended fruity sweetness—making it a sweet-and-sour style smoothie.

Long Time No See Smoothiehas a warm light orange appearance, mainly made with cranberry, orange, apple, and grape. The orange flavor stands out the most in this smoothie. Its sweet yet not cloying taste, paired with the cool sensation of the smoothie, gives off a summery vibe—perfect for those who prefer sweeter drinks.
