This year’s exchange tournament was organized by the Peking University Cycling Association, co-organized by the Kangling Village Committee and the Yuanren Tribe Forum, and sponsored and strongly supported by UCC Guangzhou Global Bicycle Company and Beijing Akino Outdoor Products Co., Ltd.
The exchange tournament is a traditional large-scale cycling event hosted by the Peking University Cycling Association. It is the highest-standard and largest-scale mountain bike competition in China specifically for university students, and a grand gathering for university cycling communities nationwide. This year’s event has expanded even further in scale compared to previous years. Participating universities included Peking University, Tsinghua University, China University of Petroleum, Central University of Finance and Economics, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and over 50 others, with more than 400 participants. Including the over 100-member support group of family and friends, the total number of attendees exceeded 500. To manage such a large-scale event, the Peking University Cycling Association deployed a team of over 60 staff members throughout the competition to ensure its smooth and safe execution.
On the 29th, led by the tournament’s chief judge, participants from various universities set off from Peking University together to the athletes’ accommodation site. A bicycle procession of up to 500 riders became a beautiful sight across Beijing. In the evening of the 29th, an exchange party was held around the accommodation area, where various clubs showcased their unique features and shared experiences and stories. An exciting track stand competition displayed different styles of skill. The top five contestants received cycling glasses sponsored by Beijing Akino Outdoor Products Co., Ltd.
Through the exchange tournament, interactions among university cyclists from across the country were further enhanced, bringing everyone together for this annual gathering. During this event, university students made friends with cyclists from different regions, gained more cycling experience, and most importantly, all experienced the pure joy of outdoor cycling.
At the same time, the Peking University Cycling Association also hopes to draw social attention through the organization of the exchange tournament, further encouraging university students to participate in sports, and promoting cycling as a low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and health-enhancing sport.
