At 4:36 a.m. on May 19, a man was stranded and injured while hiking on Jiulong Mountain. He was unable to walk and called for help. After receiving the distress call, the fire department dispatched personnel and, upon assessing the situation, quickly decided to launch a rescue operation. One firefighter rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped individual.
En route, the firefighters contacted the caller and learned that the trapped individual was a 47-year-old man who had sustained injuries to his foot and leg. He was only carrying a mobile phone, a radio, and a small amount of drinking water. His phone had very little battery left, and he was stranded at an unnamed location on Jiulong Mountain.
The firefighters hurried to the accident site and began searching down the mountain stream based on some landmark features described by the trapped man. Later, the Qingshan Rescue Team used the radio frequency provided by the man to pinpoint his approximate location via radio waves. At around 4:15 p.m., the firefighters finally located the man on the hillside near Jiulong Mountain.
