Introduction: The "First Wanda Changbai Mountain International Trail Running Challenge" will grandly kick off on June 29, 2013, at the Wanda Changbai Mountain International Resort. The renowned American trail running shoe brand VASQUE and outdoor apparel brand OUTDOOR RESEARCH (OR), represented in Shenzhen by Himalaya, sponsored the event with professional running shoes as prizes and competition apparel.
This event is organized by the Wanda Changbai Mountain International Resort Management Company, featuring race distances of 50 kilometers and 30 kilometers. The entire trail run will take place within the resort, making it the first large-scale international trail running event held within a mountain resort in China. Numerous well-known domestic and international athletes, along with over 300 trail runners from across the country, will gather here, sure to ignite a wave of passionate trail running competition. The course design is distinctive: runners will start from the resort lawn, pass through lush pine and birch forests, cross serene blue lakes, ascend rolling peaks over a thousand meters high, experience the resort town’s unique international charm, and finally gaze at the clearly visible summit of Changbai Mountain from the finish line.
With the official launch of the "First Wanda Changbai Mountain International Trail Running Challenge," activity briefings for runners will be held every weekend from May 25 to June 2 in seven cities nationwide—Beijing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Changchun, Jilin, and Shanghai. Prizes such as trail running shoes from the Vasque brand will also be drawn at these briefings.
