The most significant backpack product refresh in Gregory’s history

At next month’s Outdoor Retailer show, Gregory will introduce a host of new backpack models — the most substantial update in the brand’s 35-year history. For the 2014 spring season, the company will release 28 new backpacks, including improved versions of its top-selling Z and J series, outdoor packs for runners, cyclists, and mountaineers, as well as new commuter and urban day-use backpacks and messenger bags.

“For the 2014 spring season, our company is offering the most comprehensive lineup of backpacks yet,” said John Sears, Gregory’s director of product development. “We’ve given careful, long-term thought to refining our best-selling packs. The design and production of these new models represent major advancements and considerable effort on our part, and we hope customers will appreciate the results.”

Gregory’s Z and J series backpacks have earned numerous outdoor industry awards. For the 2014 spring season, the company has completely revamped both lines. While retaining the lightweight construction and design strengths of the Z and J series, the updated Z (men’s) and J (women’s) backpacks now feature fully ventilated backpanels, shoulder straps, and hipbelts, along with more modern styling. The packs also use lighter, more durable fabrics, reducing overall weight by up to 30% compared to previous versions. Both the Z and J series utilize Gregory’s patented CrossFlo suspension system, which automatically adjusts balance, agility, and support as the load increases. The Z and J series are available in various capacities, with Z models ranging from 25L to 65L and J models from 23L to 63L. Larger volumes are ideal for extended outdoor hikes, while smaller sizes suit shorter outings.
