Announcement for Registration of the First Outdoor Hiking Conference and 318 Outdoor Annual Meeting in 2013

    I. Introduction to the Outdoor Annual Meeting:
    Approved by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, and jointly organized by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Sichuan Provincial Sports Bureau, and the People's Government of Garzê Prefecture, and co-hosted by the Sichuan Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association, the Garzê Prefecture Culture, Sports and Broadcasting & Television Bureau, and our company, the 2013 China Outdoor Hiking Conference and Sichuan-Tibet 318 Line Outdoor Annual Meeting will commence on August 15, 2013.
    This annual meeting, led by the government and participated in by the entire public, is the highest-profile, largest-scale, longest-spanning, longest-duration, and most widely-participated domestic mass comprehensive outdoor event in China to date.
    The annual meeting will host various mass outdoor activities and promotional conferences for 318 outdoor sports tourism resources at five major gathering points along the 318 route in Sichuan. Professional outdoor groups will be invited to carry out various forms of outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, orienteering races, low-altitude flying, off-road car races, outdoor skills competitions, and medical rescue within the gathering points. While establishing a top-tier outdoor sports event that garners national attention and global fame, it aims to promote mass participation in outdoor sports and seize this opportunity to foster the healthy development of western China’s sports, culture, economy, and tourism sectors.
