The "Asia Outdoor Exhibition China Bouldering Open" will be held in Nanjing during the 8th Asia Outdoor Exhibition, scheduled for July 24 and 25. This event is jointly organized by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Mountaineering Association, and The North Face, and hosted by Nanjing Ningfei International Exhibition Co., Ltd., with strong support from the Kailas brand. It will be the highest-level bouldering competition in East China this year.
The competition will be divided into a Professional Group and an Open Group. There will be 20 male and 20 female participants in the Professional Group, and 35 male and 25 female participants in the Open Group. Athletes in the Professional Group will be selected by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and consist of top climbers from China and abroad, while the Open Group is open to domestic and international climbing enthusiasts. The top eight male and female athletes in the Professional Bouldering Group will receive prizes, with the top three additionally awarded trophies. The top eight male and female athletes in the Open Bouldering Group will also be given prizes, and all other participants will receive commemorative awards. The total prize money for this event is as high as 58,000 RMB.
Athletes interested in participating in the Open Group can register via the China Mountaineering Association’s climbing competition registration system (www.cmaol.com). Climbing enthusiasts and athletes from around the world with good physical health, climbing ability, and bouldering experience are welcome to apply. The registration deadline is July 18, 2013, and no late registrations will be accepted. We look forward to seeing everyone at the competition venue in Nanjing on July 24–25.
