Typhoon Meranti is approaching Taiwan. To ensure public safety, the Chenggong Sub-bureau of Taitung County Police Department announced that four campground areas affiliated with police stations under its jurisdiction will be temporarily closed starting September 14.

The Chenggong Sub-bureau of Taitung County Police Department stated that according to forecasts by the Central Weather Bureau, Typhoon Meranti is expected to be closest to Taiwan during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Therefore, the four campground areas affiliated with the Taran, Duli, Changbin, and Zhangyuan police stations will be temporarily closed from September 14 to 18 to enhance typhoon preparedness and ensure public safety.
