Established in 1921 with its headquarters in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, the Shimano Group has grown over 80 years to have subsidiaries in 17 countries worldwide, becoming a multinational corporation specializing in the manufacturing and sales of bicycle components, fishing gear, snowboards, and golf equipment. This year, Shimano will not only attend the Asia Bike Expo but also the Asia Outdoor Expo, showcasing a wide and comprehensive range of products. In addition to outdoor cycling apparel, eyewear, shoes, and other items under its own PRO brand, the company will also display products from its agency brands such as water bottles from ELITE and tools from OGK.

Shimano’s own brand accessories have long featured strong outdoor elements, such as outdoor cycling apparel, eyewear, and shoes. Beyond brand promotion, this exhibition aims to seek partnerships with outdoor stores to expand the distribution of its accessory products. The reason Shimano enjoys such a wide global fan base and reputation is largely due to its functional systems design philosophy guiding bicycle component production. Shimano broke away from the traditional static, single-part-focused design approach and boldly adopted a dynamic design methodology centered on functional components and guided by the overall performance of the bicycle system. This established its unique functional systems design philosophy, leading to the creation of numerous revolutionary products and continuously advancing the reform and evolution of the bicycle.
Particularly noteworthy is that at the T-stage fashion show during the Asia Outdoor Expo, Shimano will present its new clothing line. Additionally, there will be a special simulated Tour de France track cycling experience activity set up in the exhibition hall.
