Tourism Center / Comprehensive Report
The Regent Taipei at The Westin is among the first to offer delicious hairy crabs as one of the buffet main course choices. Each crab weighs 4.5 liang, but due to limited availability, only 100 portions are served daily, so act fast. To ensure the ultimate freshness and taste, the chefs prepare them on demand using steaming to preserve their sweet and succulent flavor.
In addition to the Silk Road Banquet, yG Garden at The Regent Taipei also introduces autumn crabs, combining organically grown seasonal vegetables from Yilan, freshly caught seafood delivered directly from Nanfang’ao, and locally sourced 7-liang green crabs rich in roe. Among these, the classic steamed live green crab is not to be missed. The chef insists that every bite offers the freshest taste, with crabs prepared by live butchering and steaming only upon order.
Furthermore, Hanazono Japanese Cuisine at The Garden Hotel Taipei is launching the “Autumn Crab Feast” from September 20 to November 30. Featuring ten varieties of autumn crabs — including male and female sand crabs, flower crabs, stone crabs, three-spot crabs, green crabs, golden crabs, bread crabs, snow crabs, and king crabs — each paired with ten unique cooking methods. Each dish is priced at a minimum of NT$680 plus 10% service charge.
