The sweltering summer heat is igniting the enthusiasm of outdoor lovers. Lately, the advancement stage of the “Leaves Accompany Me” 2013 Lafuma Hiking Season is in full swing. With 60 teams and 120 contestants from the three categories that made it through the preliminary round, the competition has become even more intense. Participants are sharing photos, showing off their gear, and presenting their routes—they’re having the time of their lives. We had the chance to interview some of the teams that completed the missions, so let’s take a look at their joy and wonderful experiences together.
Mission One: A Gorgeous Gear Show-Off
This gear show-off session has seen some impressive displays, each with its own unique flair. Ever since the activity began, it triggered a wave of enthusiasm among participants eager to show off their gear. Whether it was handsome guys, beautiful girls, or family teams, they all took turns showcasing their stuff. Here you can see cool hikers carrying the Little Leaf flag trekking through the desert, creatively edited product photos using Meitu XiuXiu, and imaginative setups using Little Leaf gear. The Leaves Accompany Me Waystation Show is a key component of the advancement stage of the “Leaves Accompany Me” 2013 Lafuma Hiking Season. Each participant who advanced from the preliminary selection received a dream gear gift pack provided by the organizing committee, which included a 200-yuan voucher per person. This voucher could be used at any Lafuma full-price store across nearly 30 cities on the Chinese mainland to exchange for the latest in outdoor fashion gear. On the day the gift packs were distributed, many participants sent in fun photos with the stores. The bright colors and diverse styles were a real treat for our eyes and filled us with envy.

In this segment, participating teams from different categories are required to present themes in various styles: the Solo Group showcases the personal dream of self-improvement; the Couple Group represents the shared dream of love and mutual growth; the Mixed Group embodies the dream of friendship through shared interests. How each group interprets their experience varies from person to person.
Luo Jing is one of the advancing participants from the Dashing Solo Adventurers group. As one of the few prominent female high-altitude climbers in China, she boasts an impressive record of successfully summiting five peaks over 8,000 meters. This time, she conquered Pakistan’s Gasherbrum I (8,068m) and Gasherbrum II (8,034m) with her Lafuma backpack. We had the opportunity to interview her: “Climbing is a form of self-discipline and pursuit for me, and it’s also my highest tribute to the Alpine-style mountaineering spirit advocated by the Lafuma Hiking Season. I’m using my own actions to support the dream of conquering Mont Blanc!”
