Triathlon is a comprehensive endurance sport consisting of swimming, cycling, and running. It’s a challenging yet captivating and thrilling activity. But the mini triathlon hosted by Nordiskv is even more fun than the standard version. The “mini” refers to a 17.5-meter swim, 288-meter bike ride, and 42.195-meter run. Over such short distances, it tests not just your burst power, stamina, and racing experience, but also your adaptability and luck. With mini distances come big fun—anyone, even without prior racing experience, can join in. Since its first edition in 2010, this mini event has gained increasing popularity, with growing participation and rising praise for the event experience year after year. What’s the charm of this mini event that draws so much attention? Read on to find out:
★ Participation: Anyone, even with no racing experience, can take part. With four categories—individual, corporate team, family, and children—it’s perfect for parent-child education and team building.
★ Competitiveness: A blend of skill and luck. Beyond overall athletic ability, participants can also win through a bit of good fortune.
★ Entertainment: This is a wildly fun triathlon that perfectly combines sports competition, food culture, and international athlete exchanges.
★ Commercial appeal: This triathlon attracts attention from both domestic and international media, with its unique concept frequently in the spotlight.
For three consecutive years, we’ve held this small-scale event at Beijing Royal Hotel every September. In 2013, the event is scheduled for August 31. After preliminary heats, semifinals, and finals, participants can look forward to an outdoor barbecue party (paid) in the Royal Garden—featuring fine wine, delicious food, and beautiful scenery.
