Since the first Yangshuo Rock Climbing Festival was held in 2008, the event has grown over five years—not only establishing Yangshuo as China’s premier rock climbing destination but also allowing more climbers to fully experience the charm of natural rock faces. From small beginnings to a major event, the Yangshuo International Rock Climbing Festival has played an immeasurable role in promoting natural rock climbing in China. KAILAS, which has consistently been committed to popularizing climbing, will continue to support the Yangshuo Climbing Federation in developing more climbing areas and new routes, attracting both new and seasoned climbers to experience and enjoy the sport. “Getting climbers onto natural rock faces is just the first step in promoting the sport. We hope to integrate outdoor activities and travel through the festival to attract even more people to embrace the outdoors,” said the event organizers. This reflects the heart of the organizers and the ongoing mission of KAILAS.
