Pioneering Advance Compensation Mechanism Backed by a 5 Million Yuan Integrity Fund
On October 1st, the new "Tourism Law" will officially take effect, and discussions about the rising prices of many tour routes after the National Day holiday have become increasingly heated. Consumers are scrambling to catch the "low-cost group tours" before the holiday, unexpectedly making September the "hottest September." Against this backdrop, more thoughts may focus on how to cope, how to file complaints and protect rights. But the key issue at present should be whether a healthy development path can be forged — one where scenic spots, travel agencies, and consumers at all levels actively participate and engage.
As Chongqing’s only UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and also home to a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, Wulong has taken the lead in publicly responding to the new Tourism Law. On the 11th, it held the "Quality Wulong, Trustworthy Tourism – Wulong Tourism Joint Thousand Travel Agencies Integrity Action Press Conference" in Beijing. Travel agency representatives from Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, and Chongqing signed the "‘Quality Wulong, Trustworthy Tourism’ Action Commitment," which includes commitments such as not operating zero or negative-cost tour groups; not obtaining improper benefits through arranged shopping or additional paid tour items; not using unlicensed agencies, vehicles, or guides; and refraining from false advertising, ensuring unified products, pricing, and service quality.
