The 2013 IFSC Speed Climbing World Cup Italy leg has recently concluded, with Ningbo’s Zhong Qixin securing the silver medal with a time of 6.27 seconds in the finals.
As the third stop of the 2013 IFSC Speed Climbing World Cup, this competition attracted 30 of the world’s top climbers, including all of the top eight ranked athletes globally—among them, Zhong Qixin, currently ranked seventh in the world and a four-time World Championship winner.
Having already competed in three World Cup speed climbing events this year, Zhong Qixin has earned one silver and one bronze medal. He will next take part in World Cup stops in Russia, Wujiang (China), Haiyang (China), and South Korea, as he aims to vie for the overall World Cup title this season.
