Yiquan is a passionate German cycling athlete who used to be a particle accelerator researcher. For over 20 years, she has been a competitive athlete, serving on the German national indoor cycling team for 10 years and currently performing bicycle stunts around the world. In 2007, driven by her inner passion, Yiquan and a friend founded an assembled bike community in Beijing and opened Natooke, the first shop dedicated to custom bikes and stunt gear. She serves as an advisor for the Greening the Beige initiative, an art project promoting environmental awareness aimed at connecting eco-organizations and individuals in Beijing. Yiquan hopes to establish a concept in China: that bicycles are not just a mode of sport, hobby, or daily transport, but most importantly, a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
