90后小伙骑单车迎娶新娘，百名车友来助阵
On September 20, a eye-catching bike wedding took place in Hanzhong, where over 100 cycling enthusiasts formed a striking bridal procession to celebrate the newlyweds in a unique way.
At 9 a.m. that day, at the entrance of a community on Renmin Road in downtown Hanzhong, the handsome groom Wang Chao, wearing a large red flower on his chest, rode a red-and-white tandem bicycle. Seated on the back was his joyful bride Zuo Li. Behind them was a bridal party consisting of more than 150 bicycles, attracting passersby who stopped to watch and take photos and videos. According to Wang Chao, a post-90s groom, he loves sports and at the age of 19, he rode over 3,000 kilometers alone from Xi'an to Tibet. After returning from the trip, he started his first career by opening a bicycle shop in Hanzhong. His bride, Zuo Li, is the operations director of an internet technology company.
The bride, Zuo Li, happily told reporters that when she worked as a hotel general manager, she developed a passion for outdoor activities and joined Wang Chao’s Hanzhong Free Wind Cycling Club. Three years ago, shortly after Wang Chao returned from his Tibet ride, he shared his travel stories with her—telling her about Tibet’s blue skies, simple and kind-hearted locals, and deliciously authentic yogurt. She was enthralled and her eyes sparkled with excitement. She also found Wang Chao down-to-earth and reliable, so she fell for him and gradually they grew closer.
At around 10 a.m., the wedding procession adorned with balloons and flowers cycled through Central Square and Beituanjie Street all the way to the banks of the Han River. Locals in Hanzhong said the young couple were very creative and romantic. Opting not to use cars as wedding vehicles made the event eco-friendly, greatly reducing urban air and noise pollution.
