The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and Six Flags have officially launched the "Lineup" smart queuing service on the 19th. Just like the "FastPass" at Disney theme parks, visitors only need to download the mobile app to reserve rides in the park. No more waiting in line on the spot—saving more time for taking photos and exploring the park. When your reserved time arrives, you can quickly access the ride.

In the past, during weekends, holidays, or other peak seasons, waiting in line for rides could take at least 40 minutes, and for popular attractions, even up to 120 minutes—meaning visitors could only enjoy about 5 to 6 rides in a day. To enhance the service quality of domestic theme parks, the Tourism Bureau has partnered with Six Flags to introduce the innovative queue management system "Lineup," creating the first smart park upgrade demonstration zone in Taiwan. By downloading the app, visitors can enjoy the convenience of no longer having to deal with crowded lines.

Reserving a ride is simple. First, download the "Lineup" mobile app and enable Bluetooth to detect the ride. Then set the number of visitors and confirm the time slot for the ride—you can plan which attractions to go on yourself. After saving valuable time that would have been spent in queues, visitors can explore the park, take photos, and wait for an entry notification on their phone before “quickly accessing” the ride.

At launch, Six Flags currently offers reservation services for 9 rides. Visitors can book up to 3 non-conflicting time slots at once. These include the brand-new 5D interactive theater "5D HaBiHaNi Adventure: 'The Magic Castle Treasure Hunt'", "Wild Wheel", "River Rapids", "Steam Train", "Volcano Adventure", "Pirates", "Tsunami", "Dizzy Drums", "Soaring Eagle", as well as "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves".

In the future, Six Flags also plans to gradually expand the number of rides available for reservation. Additionally, through "Lineup", visitors can receive real-time updates on limited-time promotions and free vouchers from restaurants and shops within the park, allowing them to discover pleasant surprises anytime. Liu Hsi-lin, Deputy Director-General of the Tourism Bureau, said that the "Lineup" smart queuing service, through the integration of big data analysis, allows park operators to understand visitor behavior patterns, helping them adjust marketing strategies and improve the cost-performance ratio of the park visit. In the future, they also hope to promote this smart service to other domestic theme parks to enhance overall service quality.
