I know writing a report during work hours isn’t ideal, but I’ve been so busy that I can only sneak in some writing time now.
On the morning of October 6, 2013, in this place that is no longer unfamiliar to us, everyone gathered once again for a shared purpose. Due to the weather conditions, northern Xinjiang, including the Urumqi area, will begin heating on October 10, and the warm days will gradually fade away. As a result, the birds we’ve been observing will also head to warmer places for the winter this month. Therefore, this session will be our last Baihu activity of 2013.
Although it’s the last one of the year, there are also many firsts for this activity: for example, it’s the first time it’s been planned by a young university environmental association, the first time so many people have participated at once, and the first time our friends from Beijing have joined us. All of this shows that the promotion efforts over these past few months are gradually taking effect. It’s very heartening.
