In late September, the Xilingol Grassland is already quite cold, and the temperature difference between day and night can be a bit significant. The chill of autumn is very apparent. But just before the trip, my family said that many regular customers hoped we’d do some activities before “National Day,” and whether our little shop should do something to give back. While the two of us were discussing what to bring for the bike ride, a phone call came — my younger sister was coming, and she asked me to accompany her. It’s not easy for her to come all this way, so I canceled my trip, and instead, the forum hosted another promotion for beef jerky. Two days later, the cyclists came back raving about how great and exciting the trip was. Hearing them talk made me itch to go too, so I collected their photos. When I looked through them, I truly felt envious. Maybe that’s just human nature — things we miss always seem more wonderful. I felt a bit empty inside. Of course, there were also complaints from fellow cyclists: “You said you’d come, but you didn’t. Without you here, we didn’t even have any beef jerky for the picnic.” Hearing that actually made me quite happy — after all, everyone remembered the nice things I did. But my good mood was quickly doused by a wave of sarcasm — “Fine, if you’re not coming next time, don’t bother. Just prepare the beef jerky well and we’ll come pick it up. If it’s really good, be decent enough to deliver it in advance so we don’t have to make the trip.”
In the end, I still think this cycling trip was very well organized, and it’s a pity that I didn’t go. But it’s a bit lonely feeling regret alone — so I wanted to make you all a little envious. That was my goal, hehe. Come on, let’s look at some photos.
