Last updated 2026-11-08 — Photo Gallery of Yangshuo’s Welfare Major Crag Known as the “Asian Climbing Paradise,” Yangshuo attracts numerous climbing enthusiasts every year to climb and exchange experiences. In Yangshuo, world-famous crags such as Wine Bottle Mountain, Moon Hill, Butterfly Spring, and White Mountain have all been graced by climbers from around the globe, especially during the annual climbing festival...

Since the first Yangshuo Climbing Festival was held in 2008, the five-year event has not only established Yangshuo as China’s premier climbing destination but also allowed many climbers to fully experience the charm of natural rock faces. The Yangshuo International Climbing Festival, growing from small beginnings, has played an immeasurable role in promoting natural rock climbing in China. KAILAS, which has consistently been dedicated to promoting and popularizing climbing, will continue to support the Yangshuo Climbing Federation in developing more crags and new routes, attracting both new and seasoned climbers to experience and enjoy the sport. “Getting climbers onto natural rock faces is just the first step in promoting the sport. We hope that through the climbing festival, we can integrate outdoor activities and travel to attract even more people to love and engage with the outdoors,” said the organizers. These are the heartfelt words of the organizers, and they are also what KAILAS has been striving for.
