According to foreign media reports, a 61-year-old British man has carried a 25-kilogram cross across the entire United Kingdom, and even traveled as far as Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, and other places, covering more than 8,000 kilometers over 26 years.

The man is named Harmon and works as a nurse. The cross he carries is made of wood and has wheels at the bottom. It is reported that Harmon carries the cross to show his friends "his commitment to his ideals." Jesus was once crucified on a cross.

Harmon said that initially, he carried the cross from Land’s End (the southwestern tip of Scotland) to Plymouth, then a few months later from Plymouth to London, followed by Ireland, Berlin, Moscow, Paris, Slovakia, Hungary, and other places across Europe.

Harmon said the cross serves as an “icebreaker” when meeting people for the first time in different places. “People would stop their cars and talk to me, and most of them were very friendly.”

Of course, carrying such a large object while walking through remote areas is not easy. Harmon once got blisters on his feet and injured his ankle in Bangladesh, but none of that stopped him from moving forward.

Harmon said he wants to go to Asia, Africa, and South America, continuing to carry the cross forward until he can no longer do so.
