Launched in 2006, World Snowboard Day is a global, free snowboarding open day for everyone, jointly initiated by the European Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (EuroSIMA) and the World Snowboard Federation (WSF). World Snowboard Day aims to offer ordinary citizens worldwide a unique opportunity to freely experience and enjoy snowboarding, as well as to promote the sport. Since 2010, World Snowboard Day has received strong support in North America from Outdoor Sports Valley, TTR World Snowboard Tour, and the Snowsports Industries America (SIA).
