2013 flashed by and 2014, the Year of the Horse, galloped in, while everyone was celebrating the "1314 New Year’s Moment," ALPINE PRO (AlpinePro) took the first step to ring in the new year: on New Year’s Day 2014, they held the "Dad, Let's Go Skiing" Family Outdoor Ski Festival at Shenyang GuaiPo Ski Resort. This event received unanimous praise from both GuaiPo Ski Resort and the participants.
The event site was exceptionally lively, with the number of registrations exceeding expectations, once again proving that "family outdoor" activities are increasingly embraced. On the morning of the event, many parents arrived early with their children, and the registration area was bustling with excitement. Additional family registrations for skiing at GuaiPo Snow Resort were accepted on-site, yet many families still regrettably couldn’t participate and expressed hope to join AlpinePro’s family ski events next year.

The event designed a series of exciting parent-child interactive activities for the families present: free lessons, snow play, friendly competitions, and sharing sessions. The atmosphere was electric, and laughter filled the clear sky.

"Dad, Let's Go Skiing" not only featured a variety of competitions and games but also included an exciting and thrilling ski performance by 12-year-old skiing enthusiast Liu Hanbo. Liu Hanbo has practiced Go since childhood and has now reached the amateur 4-dan level. His long-term study of Go made his personality rather introverted. Hoping to help him become more outgoing, his parents took him skiing during the 2010 snow season, and from then on, Hanbo fell head over heels for skiing. He became much more outgoing and has now completed his fourth snow season. He has attended the Beijing Youth Ski Training Camp for two consecutive years and is a rising star in the Shenyang skiing community as a snowboarder.
The AlpinePro "Dad, Let's Go Skiing!" event offered plenty of great prizes. In the game segments, four competing family teams won the Group Excellence Award, and four other families received the Most Harmonious Family Award and the Most Creative Family Award. During the competition segments, after fierce competition among the young participants, 12 children won first, second, and third prizes in the Snowboard Pro Group, Challenge Group, Alpine Pro Group, and Challenge Group, with each group having first, second, and third place awards. The young participants not only earned honors for themselves but also brought prizes for their parents, including a grand prize worth nearly 8,000 RMB—a family skiwear parent-child set. The joyful games, intense competitions, and spectacular performances made this AlpinePro-hosted event truly colorful.
