Beijing Times — According to German media reports yesterday, the racing champion Michael Schumacher was injured while trying to save someone. At the time, the daughter of a friend of Schumacher suddenly fell on the ski slope. After Schumacher skied over to help the girl get up, he then slid for about 20 meters between two ski runs before falling.
According to reports, Schumacher was skiing with his 14-year-old son Mick and several friends. Due to his experience, Schumacher skied at the back to look after the children. Suddenly, a friend’s daughter fell, and after Schumacher helped her up, he skied out of the marked area and into deep snow between two runs. After sliding around 20 meters in the deep snow, Schumacher brushed against a large rock covered by fresh snow, causing him to lose control and hit his head on the rock. Friends immediately called for emergency personnel, and rescuers arrived at the scene four minutes later. At the time, Schumacher was disoriented, with bleeding from his right temple and a wound extending to the back of his head. The rescuers called for a helicopter, which transported Schumacher to the hospital.
In recent days, there have been continuous attempts to approach Schumacher, and one reporter even disguised themselves as a priest in an attempt to break into the racing champion’s operating room.
