At the same time, beginner theory courses and practical training in ice climbing were conducted over these three days, helping more enthusiasts better understand the sport and climb more professionally, thus enjoying the activity to the fullest. Participants were highly satisfied with the training, having gained a lot of knowledge about ice climbing and mountaineering. They will continue with a two-week intermediate and advanced ice climbing training. The rich content and engaging interactions made this ice climbing festival a perfect success.

The Shuangqiaogou area of Four Girls Mountain boasts hundreds of ice walls, including over 30 suitable for beginners, with the rest ranging in medium to high difficulty. It is the only ice climbing destination in China with a wide variety of ice walls, varying difficulty levels, and convenient transportation. Every year during the ice season, climbers from both home and abroad come here to learn, train, and experience.
To promote the development of amateur climbing activities, since the inaugural "Kailas Four Girls Mountain Ice Climbing Festival" was successfully held by the Four Girls Mountain Scenic Area Administration in collaboration with the professional outdoor brand Kailas on New Year’s Day 2010, the "Ice Climbing Festival" has become one of the grandest annual events in the Four Girls Mountain region.
