Cool autumn weather is perfect for cycling by the riverside. For beginners just learning to ride a bike, finding an open space to practice in Taipei City isn’t as easy as in the countryside. Riding directly on the riverside bike paths can also be risky due to potential collisions with other cyclists caused by lack of skill. The Central China Riverside Park Bicycle Practice Area provides a safe environment where parents can bring their children to learn to ride confidently on weekends.

The Central China Riverside Bicycle Practice Area features four progressive practice zones: the Basic Movement Practice Area ("Little Ones" zone), Intermediate Movement Practice Area (cone weaving), Intermediate Movement Practice Area (narrow passage), and Advanced Movement Practice Area (figure-eight course). Informational signs around the practice area help the public learn more about the basics and techniques of cycling, and there are plenty of nearby seats for families and friends to enjoy practicing together.

In addition, cyclists looking to challenge more advanced moves can also practice here. The intermediate and advanced practice areas include narrow passage navigation, balance control, cone weaving, figure-eight courses, zigzag routes, S-shaped paths, and U-turns. With convenient public transport nearby and the adjacent Central China Bicycle Rental Station available for bike rentals, the spacious Central China Riverside Park Bicycle Practice Area—with its scenic surroundings—is the top choice for beginners to learn cycling.

Route: Take bus routes 蓝28, 蓝29, 673, 260, 630, 1, 20, 62, 49, 601, or 246 and get off at “Central China Riverside Park.”
