At around 10:30 a.m. on the 10th, a male student at Anning Middle School suddenly felt unwell after going out to jog during the break. He was sent to the school infirmary but died despite resuscitation efforts. Police have now become involved in the case investigation. To further determine the cause of the student’s death, the family has agreed to an autopsy.
Wu Chenglong, 14 years old, is a second-grade student at Anning Middle School. According to his family, around 10 a.m. yesterday during the break, Wu went to the playground to jog. However, not long after, he suddenly collapsed to the ground gasping for breath. Several classmates helped him to the school infirmary, but after more than ten minutes of emergency treatment by the school doctor, his condition did not improve. Someone then promptly called 120 for emergency medical services. Unfortunately, when the paramedics arrived at the school, they found that Wu Chenglong had no signs of life.
Regarding this incident, the Anning City Education Bureau responded: Yesterday morning, Anning Middle School organized midday outdoor physical exercise according to the school’s regular schedule. Wu Chenglong, a student from Class 7 of the second grade, suddenly collapsed. When his classmates approached, he was already unconscious. Five students then carried him to the school infirmary. The principal arrived shortly after being informed. The school doctor initially diagnosed that the student had no heartbeat or breathing and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Students on the scene immediately called 120 at 10:35 a.m. Ten minutes later, emergency personnel arrived at the school infirmary and diagnosed that Wu Chenglong had no signs of life. The family of the deceased and the school subsequently reported the incident to the police, who promptly conducted relevant investigations and evidence collection according to procedure. The family and the school then held preliminary discussions. The family proposed requesting a professional institution to conduct a pathological examination and to negotiate further once the results were available. The school agreed.
