This year marks the 7th anniversary of the "Mazu Ten Thousand People BIKE Worship." On the morning of the 9th, the challenge group set off from Dajia, Taichung, riding along Provincial Highway 1, visiting sacred Mazu temples including Dajia Zhenlan Temple, Changhua Nanyao Temple, Yunlin Xiluo Fuxing Temple, with the final destination being Xingang Fengtian Temple in Chiayi. The total route spans 120 kilometers.
The "Mazu Ten Thousand People BIKE Worship" event is also an annual highlight at the start of the cycling season in Taiwan. It combines the leisure of cycling with religious culture and urban sightseeing, allowing participants to experience the charm of Mazu culture while inviting international residents in Taiwan to join in. Through this sports tourism activity, visitors can immerse themselves in local cultural features.
Participants said that thousands of cyclists pedaling together also created an eco-friendly pilgrimage journey.
