This WST 2-star event marks the first men’s snowboard slopestyle invitational to be held in China’s Northeast region. As the only international ski resort in China that has hosted all snow events from the Winter Olympics, Nanshan possesses the natural conditions to stage any level of international competition. To date, it has hosted numerous major domestic and international sporting events, including the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, the 6th Asian Winter Games, the 8th, 9th, and 12th National Winter Games, and the National Outdoor Adventure Competition. The professional and top-tier runs at Nanshan Ski Resort created favorable conditions for athletes competing in this event to achieve excellent results. In addition, the competition received strong support from extreme sports brands Skullcandy, Dragon, XSories, and 71%.
In the end, He Wei (Xiao Hu) from Jilin won the championship. Liu Ning, Deputy General Manager of Nanshan Ski Resort, awarded him the $800 cash prize.
