According to Taiwan’s China Times, A-Mei (Ah Mei) recently went on location for the show “Crazy Taiwan All-Stars,” where she and host Janet headed straight for Yushan (Jade Mountain). A-Mei swapped her signature 15 cm towering high heels from the stage for thick-soled hiking boots with 5–6 cm soles, which left onlookers amazed. During the shoot, they encountered hail on the mountain, but A-Mei remained unfazed and calmly sang an ancient Paiwan tune toward the mountaintop — after which the hail suddenly stopped.
On the day of the shoot, A-Mei and the host climbed to a peak nearly 3,000 meters high. Unexpectedly, the weather on the mountain changed rapidly, with thunderstorms and hail suddenly striking. A-Mei said, “This is the first time I’ve seen hail. Honestly, I kind of hoped it would come down even harder so I could see it more clearly. It was so thrilling!” Even as the hail hit her, she didn’t flinch and calmly faced the mountain while singing.
