The 2014 Asia Bike Show will be held from October 9–12 at the Nanjing International Expo Center. Unlike previous years, this year’s event will expand to three halls—A, B, and C—covering an indoor area of 36,000 square meters, while the outdoor area remains at 10,000 square meters. The total exhibition space has increased by nearly 40% compared to 2013. Organizers from Ningfei Exhibition Company revealed that as of the end of March, exhibitors had reserved 80% of the planned booth space.
Compared to last year’s two halls, this year’s show has added one more (12,000 square meters). The three halls are organized by product category: Hall A: complete bikes and components; Hall B: primarily complete bikes; Hall C: complete bikes and equipment.
Hall A mainly features complete bikes and components. Complete bike brands such as Cannondale, GT, PINARELLO, Anthor, Haibike, Cube, Gusto, Bargamont, Tern, OYAMA, and Bianchi have confirmed their presence here. Component brands including KS, Novatec, O-lite, Alexrims, Chosen, Neco, Velo, Wellgo, VP, Maxxis, CST, and Innova are also in Hall A. Distributor Zhenyang Brothers Bicycle Company will showcase its 2015 new products in this hall. Additionally, Hall A has a special area where numerous Taiwanese component exhibitors have gathered. Their goal is not only to promote their brand image but also to communicate directly with bicycle dealers from across the country, exploring the possibility of entering retail shops based on current market insights.
Hall B, besides the well-known component brand Shimano, is also dominated by complete bike brands. Complete bike brands such as Specialized, SCOTT, Fuji, BH, LOOK, Ghost, UCC, Carratec, BMC, Louis Garneau, Swift, Upland, Missile, Cielo, and Chiru are all represented here. Of course, influential distributors like Hong Kong’s Tie Hsing and Gomeses will not miss this prime opportunity to showcase their offerings.
Hall C is the main stage for new exhibitors this year, focusing on complete bikes and equipment. Complete bike brands such as Trek, Dahon, KTM, Norco, Focus, Colnago, Kellys, and Bridgestone take center stage, while accessory brands like Oakley, Infini, Crops, Sigma, Rudy Project, 720, Vaude, Trelock, Exustar, Cateye, OGK, and distributor Haibosida are also prominently featured here.
This year’s Asia Bike Show features a majority of European and American brands as well as Taiwanese component brands. At present, an increasing number of European and American complete bike brands are turning their attention to the Chinese market and ramping up their investment here. Booth spaces in all three halls are nearly fully booked. Brands, dealers, and distributors interested in participating are urged to register as soon as possible.
