2014 Shanghai Midi: 56 Hours of Non-Stop EDM
The 2014 Shanghai Midi Festival isn’t just a daytime music festival, it’s also China’s first outdoor nighttime music festival, offering non-stop music for 3 days and 2 nights.

The Yuan Stage—the Midi electronic music stage—will open at 1 PM on Friday, April 25, with HOUSE music, and continue for an uninterrupted 21-hour performance through the night until 10 AM the next day. After a 3-hour buffer, electronic music will return at 1 PM on Saturday, featuring a full menu of all styles of EDM, continuing through the night until 10 AM on Sunday. Then, after a 3-hour venue cleanup, a bass-heavy EDM celebration begins at 1 PM on Sunday and runs until 10 PM on Sunday night, when all Midi Festival stages close together.

Yes, this is the longest music festival in China’s history. Together we’ll watch the sunset over the Delta, gaze at the stars along the riverbank, and witness two sunrises over the East China Sea. 56 hours of non-stop music, 80 music producers, electronic bands, and DJs performing live, 3D video performances, and surround-sound audio fields.
And here’s something you won’t expect: from 10 PM every Friday and Saturday until 10 AM the next morning, the Midi Festival’s electronic music stage is FREE. We’ll enjoy this wonderful, extended time together with fellow pioneers of Midi electronic music, spreading the spirit of equality and shared joy at the festival.
Of course, we’ve arranged enough Midi shuttle buses to take EDM fans from downtown Shanghai to the Pudong Sanjia Port Midi site overnight, with a round-trip fare of 50 RMB.
If you’re tired of dancing but don’t want to leave the Midi Festival, our 50,000-square-meter free camping area has lush green grass waiting for you. Tent rentals (bring your own if you prefer), hot showers, and food services are all available.
