On the morning of March 30, 2014, the well-known outdoor GPS brand Magellan and the Fudan EMBA Outdoor Sports Association gathered by the beautiful Jinji Lake in Suzhou to kick off the 2014 Suzhou Marathon with energy and enthusiasm. By 8:50 am, tens of thousands of people had gathered at Suzhou Moonlight Wharf, creating a magnificent and spectacular scene. The passion for loving life and health brought by the marathon infected everyone present. At exactly 9:00 am, with the sound of the starting gun, the crowd surged across the starting line, officially marking the beginning of the 5th Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon.
This event was jointly organized by the Chinese Athletics Association, the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Suzhou Municipal Government, and was once again officially included in the annual athletics competition plan of the Chinese Athletics Association, making it a national-level sporting event. The race featured four categories: the half marathon (approximately 21 kilometers), the short marathon (approximately 11 kilometers), the mini marathon (5 kilometers), and the family fun run (2.5 kilometers).

The Magellan Switch Up, the world’s first fully Chinese-language GPS outdoor sports watch, perfectly integrates GPS with sports, training, and fitness. With 50-meter water resistance, it is suitable for enthusiasts who engage in running, swimming, cycling, mountain climbing, kayaking, and other activities in challenging outdoor environments. It comprehensively quantifies the process and effects of training, enabling various outdoor sports to become more scientific and professional.
