In the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the goal of building a "Beautiful China" was put forward, which garnered widespread attention across society. For China's tourism industry, it served as a strong boost and catalyst. The tourism industry is one closely associated with "beauty" and is an advantageous and potential sector in building a "Beautiful China." Tourism activities are an important channel for spreading civilization, culture, promoting ecological civilization, and optimizing and beautifying the environment. To this end, the China National Tourism Administration designated "Beautiful China" as the national tourism image of China, establishing the global brand image of Chinese tourism.

This actually poses a question to tourism cities across China: In the process of "Beautiful China" influencing the world, which city can become the spokesperson for "Beautiful China," and which can become the shining tourism calling card of "Beautiful China" on the world stage?

Driven by the concept of "Beautiful China," regions across the country are vigorously developing tourism, increasing the proportion of tourism revenue in GDP, and striving to build international tourism destination cities. A wave of the "beautiful economy" is sweeping through China. Amidst this trend, a "love letter" reveals a different kind of brilliance.

After several years of development, Yichang's tourism has achieved fruitful results. In 2013, the city's total tourism revenue reached 26.012 billion yuan. According to planning goals, by 2016, the total tourism revenue will exceed 60 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 32%. By 2020, it aims to become a world-class tourism destination city and an internationally renowned cultural tourism city.

From the perspective of the international tourism environment, China became the world's third-largest tourist destination country in 2011. The United Nations World Tourism Organization stated that China will become the world's most popular tourist destination by 2018.

With favorable external market conditions, strong internal policy support, and abundant unique tourism resources, Yichang's tourism is bound to achieve even greater development, becoming a "world-class tourism destination city" and a resounding tourism calling card for China on the global stage.
